Fashion mistakes, we’re all guilty and we’ve all stared, shaken our heads and felt embarrassed for others when they make them.

You can have a glamorous outfit and be feeling great but if you havecommitted one of the 7 deadly fashion sins, guaranteed everyone around islooking at what’s wrong – not what’s right with your appearance. In the wordsof Coco Channel -“A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.”

To prevent you from making one of these mistakes again we have provided a list of ‘The 7 Instant Credibility Killers’ a.k.a the 7 deadly sins.

1) Too much make-up:
Women use make-up to enhance their beauty and if not applied properly can detract from it remember your face is your power point. Too much foundation, eye make-up and using the wrong colours can draw attention to your face for all the wrong reasons. It is best to consult a professional make-up artist to see what colours suit with your skin, hair and eye colour. It is an advantage to learn certain techniquesthat can make you lips look bigger, techniques to do eye shadow which will open up your eyes and just add that finishing touch to your overall appearance, because make-up is meant to look effortless andnatural not like an oiling painting on your face.

2) Clothing that does not fit:
There is a reason that clothes come in sizes and that is because ‘NOT ONE SIZE FITS ALL’. It is highly un-flattering to wear clothes that are either too small – as this makes you look bigger than you are or clothes that are too big and make you look bigger than you are. When buying clothes it is best to buy clothes that accentuate your assets and minimize your flaws. 3) Out of date hair styles or colours:
Just because a hair style or colour looks amazing on a celebrity does not mean it is going to look the same on you. It is important to have your hair in a style that accentuates the positive features of your face and minimizes your flaws such as big ears, big forehead or small neck- just as your body has a shape so does your face. It is worth going to a hair stylist and getting their professional opinion with regard to hair styles that will suit the shape of your face. A hair stylist will also be able to blend a hair colour that suits yourhair-style and skin colour. There are so many styles and colours out there, that you will be able to find the perfect hair colour and style to suite your face, skin colour and look. Also as you mature in age your hair style and colour should mature to suit you as well.

4) Facial hair or monobrows:
Everyone has facial hair although some can get it worse than others and not manage it. As our skin ages (especially in woman) more facial hairs grow called ‘Vellus Hairs’ all over our facial skin,and then there are the ‘TERMINAL HAIRS’ the visible ones that seem to grow around the top of the lip. It is unfeminine to have facial hair above your top lip and like the other 6 ‘Instant CredibilityKillers’ they will draw attention to your face for all the wrong reasons. There are many solutions out on the market to get rid of any unwanted facial hair, so there are no excuses ladies. With eyebrows it is important to get the right shape for your face and your eyebrows can be done in a way to enhance the shape of youreyes and face. Consider your eyebrows as the picture frame for your eyes – too dark or light can minimize your eyes.

5) Orange fake tan:
Let’s face it – it’s great to look tanned but not orange. It is important to stay away from cheap and nasty tanning solutions that will just cause you to turn orange. A bad fake tan can draw lots of attentionto you for ALL THE WRONG reasons. It is important to exfoliate before applying self tanner and never go too dark - remember it is meant to look natural. A good fake tan can enhance your image and is very practical during the warmer months.

6) Too many accessories or mismatching accessories:
Accessories are a tool which if used correctly can turn a boring outfit into a fabulous one in a matter of seconds. However if the wrong tools are used then a boring outfit becomes a fashion disaster in exactly thesame amount of time. 7) Chipped nail polish
The idea with nail polish is to make your nails and general appearance look nicer; however chipped nail polish has the reverse effect and results in attention to poor grooming. When choosing a nail polishcolour for your fingers (and toes) choose a colour that will suit the clothes you wearing and ladies no FLURO or BLACK - your children can pull it off but you can’t.
